GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As Senior Financial Analyst I - Treasury & Investments, you will help lead the team on loan and deposit product pricing for consumer and business services while supporting the team in the oversight of liquidity, interest rate risk, investments, interest rate derivatives, lock desk, and capital market activities. This position performs various analytical and treasury-related functions for Golden 1 Credit Union, including but not limited to financial reporting, financial analyses, profitability analysis, financial modeling, trade operations, market research, and maintaining financial systems/models directly related to the Credit Union's treasury functions. Act as lead for other analysts in the Treasury team. Employees in this area are cross trained in several aspects of finance, accounting, and other relevant analytical functions and will assist in supporting the business units and partners within the organization.
TASK, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Perform the following job duties and responsibilities in accordance with corporate policy and procedures, within established timeframes:
1. Leads product pricing (loan & deposit) reports and the construction of new dashboards for loans and deposits to support rate change proposals, including but not limited to improving existing treasury-related reports throughout the Credit Union.
2. Provide analytical support to the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) through analysis and written presentation of loan and deposit products.
3. Actively leads team members in product pricing (loan & deposit) through Funds transfer pricing (FTP) analysis, risk adjusted marginal return analysis, liquidity analysis, Asset liability Management (ALM) analysis, yield analysis, portfolio performance, market research, competitor rate research.
4. Leads team members with providing in-depth market research and risk/reward analysis on product pricing and investments.
5. Supports team in investment-related reporting, capital markets activities (loan participations purchase or sales), trade operations (security transaction report packages, collateral management, rate change emails, invoices, trade blotter, closed mortgage pipeline hedged emails, settlements, wire payments, trade reconciliations, safekeeping, pledging, etc.) including any other administrative tasks relating to these functions.
6. Leads team in liquidity reporting and analysis.
7. Actively participates in ALM meetings and discussions. Leverages ALM for product pricing proposals and investment analysis.
8. Supports team in any funding/borrowing or leverage reporting and activity.
9. Leads team members in ALCO, Board, and other ad hoc management reporting, as well as internal regulatory reporting.
10. Supports team in business and investment services reporting.
11. Using Power BI, Python, VBA, R, and/or Excel, aggregate multiple data sources into a single story to summarize the results of a review into actionable points for Senior Management to support business decision-making.
12. Supports team members with the quarterly call reports related to investments.
13. Continually seek to improve processes, reports, and tools to increase business value and improve efficiency; offers recommendations for improvemen t as business evolves. Participates in continuous improvement activities that may cross functions through routine collaboration with other analysts.
14. Prepare data, support spreadsheets, provide analytics, and develop reports to help evaluate product pricing and investment performance. Contribute to the research and development efforts undertaken to improve the Credit Union's oversight of product pricing, liquidity, ALM, and the investment portfolio.
15. Lead in developing and maintaining metrics, graphs, reports, analytical tools, and any other means to measure and monitor the Credit Union's product pricing. Lead team members in utilizing advanced data analytics tools and techniques to build periodic trend analysis reports, and presents insights and findings that are relevant, actionable, and visually appealing to management.
16. Is committed to fostering a "data-driven culture" by continually seeking to harvest data- driven insights and developing technical skills (ex. Power BI and/or Excel (VBA), Python, R programming etc.)
17. Ensure data for all reports is accurate and reports are prepa red in a timely and thorough manner.
18. Lead team members in coordinating the assessment of internal and/or external industry trends, market, product, member, and channel performance to identify gaps and additional value areas to maximize financial performance and operational efficiency
19. Lead team members in updating and maintaining financial models such as Net Present Value (NPV) models, FTP models, scenario and breakeven point analyses, risk adjusted return models, scenario based total return models, cash flow models, cost benefit analysis models, etc.
20. Leads team members in analysis and synthesis of financial results into meaningful recommendations to management through written reports or dashboards, with clean and concise visual charting.
21. Utilize various business intelligence tools and financial information systems including but not limited to current organization-wide and/or department specific software in the preparation of analyses, evaluation, and reports.
22. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger accounts, components of the balance sheet, income statement, key ratios, products, and other financial data, and analyzes and communicates variances in support of the financial plan that relates to product pricing, ALM, liquidity, and the investment portfolio.
23. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
24. Develop and maintain financial performance-related knowledge in assigned business lines to provide deep-dive analyses into metrics, trends, and anomalies while providing insights to drive improvements and support ongoing business line initiatives and projects.
25. Maintain current procedure and process manuals for position functions of recurring tasks.
26. Monitor progress toward significant strategic goals and policies.
27. Support strategic financial initiatives to aid in the achievement of multi-year ongoing financial objectives to support the financial position, growth, and profitability of the Credit Union, through effective long-term capital management.
28. Assist in the routine preparation of financial reports for the Credit Union including, but not limited to, information for management reports analyzing financial performance by channels, markets, and peers.
29. Analyze the monthly financial statements and reports and communicate variances and relevant findings in support of the financial plan.
30. Learn and gain an understanding of lending/deposit rates, policies and procedures impacting responsibilities.
31. Update procedures in response to changes in operational a ctivities or technological upgrades.
32. Perform reviews or validations of other Financial Analyst work prior to, or in lieu of, review by Team Leadership.
33. Prepare or create ad hoc financial models, analyses, spreadsheets, visualizations, and presentations that effectively present data and analytical findings for management as reference for strategic decisions, committee review, and other information requests.
34. Use statistical concepts and tools to find causation, patterns, and trends to develop o r better inform existing financial models.
35. Work with Leadership and with other Financial Analysts on complex analyses, using data to add value to our business partners.
36. Develop reports for executive management and credit union committees, ensuring that the reports are accurate and thorough.

38. Contribute to and lead the creation of deliverables including preparing various and wide - ranging reports pertaining to corporate strategic focus areas.
39. Lead the research and development efforts undertaken to improve the Credit Union's

40. Increase productivity by developing automated applications, elimin ating duplicating effort, and coordinating information requirements.
41. Lead complex analysis projects, coordinating and delegating work to Junior Analysts and business partners to ensure success.
42. Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to build periodic trend analysis reports, and present insights and findings that are relevant, actionable, and visually appealing to management.
43. Assist with the technical skill growth and business knowledge growth of Junior Financial

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (Accounting, Mathematics, Economic, Business Administration, Information Technology, or similarly
quantitative/analytical degrees). Other degree types will be considered with relevant experience combined with strong technical experience. Equivalent work experience with required knowledge/skills may be substituted for other degree types.
EXPERIENCE: 8 - 12 years or more of progressive finance, treasury, investment, or capital markets experience. 8 - 12 years of Analytical Experience. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within credit union/banking operations.

Power BI - Building Visuals using existing Datasets, and Power BI Desktop

- Select Statements, Joins, Aggregating Data, temp tables, and complex querying; DataSafe; VBA Coding to support automation of tasks; R Programming, Python.

5. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
6. Minimal travel to attend meetings by car and/or public conveyance for conferences or training session held at out-of-area locations or across the United States (1 - 2 times per year).
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Not required, but desired: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA); Certified Corporate FP&A Analyst (CFP&A); Certified Treasury Professional (CTP); Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)
