CommQuest is currently seeking a Part-time Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant provides supportive interventions for young children, age's birth to six years old, early childcare staff, and families. Primarily work schedule consists of early morning hours, during early childhood classroom sessions. Must also be available for afternoon team meetings on a weekly basis, as well as occasionally meeting parents and teachers for evening sessions.

What you'll do:

  • Provide consultation and behavior intervention services.
  • Assist early childcare staff with environmental design and development of curricular and behavioral clues.
  • Providing parent consultations and strengthening parent involvement.
  • Co-lead parent training groups.
  • Provide coordination and referral to community services.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday with occasional evening meetings as scheduled

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in early childhood or elementary education settings is highly desired.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Experience/interest in working with young children and the ability to engage, effectively with young children, childcare staff, and families is a plus.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, a driving record in accordance with agency standards, and requires use of personal vehicle.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
