Senior Calibration Technician
El Segundo, CA. Direct Hire / Fulltime
Onsite. 35-45/hr.
Responsibilities: The Calibration Technician III is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, calibrating and repairing R&D and Manufacturing equipment, and supporting equipment and utilities operations in a biotechnology company environment. They work closely with the Validation Team on new projects. Specific duties include:

Qualifications: The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent certification from a technical school, a minimum of 5 years of related GMP experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, and experience with CMMS, facilities equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and metrology and calibration programs. GMP experience and knowledge of critical utility systems are also required.
Skills: The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, including the ability to use hand tools and common laboratory measuring and test equipment. They will also have excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Performing calibrations and repairs on lab and cleanroom equipment
- Calibrating standards used in calibrations
- Installing new equipment and modifying existing equipment
- Providing technical guidance and measurement data
- Managing and scheduling shutdown and maintenance activities
- Writing investigation reports for failed calibrations
- Replacing and repairing electronic and pneumatic components
- Planning and scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance
- Ordering spare parts and materials
- Preparing and maintaining records and reports
- Drafting and revising SOPs
- Supporting management in audits
