About the Job:

The Haul Truck Driver will report to the Mine Supervisor and is responsible for safe and efficient operation of 20-ton, 30-ton, and 40-ton haul trucks from underground to the surface. The schedule for this position is 14 days on at the mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 14 days off.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 20-ton or larger mine haul truck.
  • Perform a walk-around inspection at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Safely and effectively haul and dump material in designated areas.
  • Remove garbage and keep the cab of the trucks clean.
  • Ensure the truck receives fuel as required and at the end of each shift.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements as determined by Coeur Mining, Inc.
  • Willing to stop work for safety concerns, and abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures
  • Assist in general mine labor as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent safety, attendance and work records.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate well with all Mine Operations personnel.
  • Demonstrate initiative as a team member in a growing, fast-paced environment.
  • One (1) year of mining experience preferred.
  • Prior underground and/or equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Previous haul truck driver or equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust and takes accountability.
  • Preference given to Alaska residents.
