POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Director directs and supervises the accounting system and financial function of the practice. This includes charges, billing, A/R, cash receipts, cash reconciliation, collections, general ledger, assists in budgeting, internal controls, employer self-insurance review, oversees monthly close, and assists in audits. Facets include in/outpatient and ancillary services offered by the practice.
Certificates & Licenses: Must have current CPA licensure.
Essential Functions Statement(s): Performs financial reviews on a monthly basis and controls expenses. Assists in completing annual financial budget and capital budget. Reviews practice A/R on a daily basis. Completes monthly financial package and submits to CFO for presentation to stakeholders. Assists department to monitor labor productivity. Is responsible for practice Finance department internal controls and audits Helps monitor compliance with Medicare regulations Employer Self Insurance reconciliation and review weekly Designs, maintains and provides oversight of the accounting department policies and procedures to ensure the safeguarding of assets and accurate financial reporting Managing the budget process Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics Cash flow forecasting and maintaining a long-term cash forecast Ensuring that recorded data is accurate, on time, and within company rules Managing and complying with reporting requirements and tax filings for local, state and federal government Generate financial statements in accordance with GAAP to meet the requirements of bankers or investors or, in the case of a startup, venture capitalists Backup for handling payroll processing and labor tax compliance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management with a major in Accounting. MBA preferred.
Minimum of seven years hospital accounting experience and minimum of ten years healthcare accounting experience or related experience preferred.
Knowledge of financial management and analysis principles and techniques and managerial skills typically acquired through two to three years of experience in public accounting, specifically in health care auditing and reimbursement knowledge.
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, internal controls, budgeting and banking working knowledge.Certificates & Licenses: Must have current CPA licensure.
