Primary Skills: Project Management(Expert), MS Project(Advanced), Communication(Expert), Agile Practices(Proficient), Continuous Integration(Proficient) Contract Type: W2 Duration: 12 months Location: Fully Remote (PST hours) Pay Range: $54 - $58 per hours Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Release Manager to oversee application releases in a highly dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Business teams to ensure timely and effective software deployments, balancing enhancements and defect prioritizations within set milestones. This remote role requires working in the PST time zone and involves leading go-live activities, ensuring compliance with IT security policies, and driving the adoption of Agile and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage application releases alongside Engineering, Build, and QA teams. Prioritize enhancements and defects, manage release blockers, dependencies, and communicate release status. Lead Go-Live activities, ensuring seamless execution of deployment plans. Enforce IT security policies, engineering guidelines, and standards across all production deployments. Drive Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Agile practices among Engineering teams.

Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in Project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical understanding of development tools and CI/CD practices.

Domain Experience Required:

Experience managing projects and programs within software engineering or related fields is necessary, with a solid understanding of project and program management techniques, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence is crucial, alongside familiarity with SOX/SOC guidelines.

Qualifications:

MS in Software Engineering or MBA. Project management certification is a plus. Candidates should have 7-10 years of experience in project and program management, particularly in the context of software release.
