PLC Programmer - Santa Clara, CA
Position Overview
A leading engineering and system integration firm in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team. This is a direct-hire, permanent position offering a competitive, negotiable base salary (commensurate with experience) and the chance to contribute to mission-critical automation systems for the semiconductor and biotech industries.

Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and integrate gas detection and chemical dispense control systems. Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs across multiple platforms. Configure and start up industrial automation hardware, including VFDs and communication networks. Read and modify electrical schematics and create flow diagrams for program design. Adapt existing programs to meet specific customer needs. Provide technical support to Field Service Engineers during installation and maintenance. Monitor and resolve system performance issues efficiently.
Requirements
~ 5+ years of PLC programming experience. Proficiency with various automation platforms, such as Allen Bradley, Modicon, Ignition, SCADA, and WonderWare. Strong understanding of electrical control schematics and safety protocols. Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with manufacturing processes or experience in building systems integration/fire alarm systems.
Work Details
Location: Santa Clara, CA. Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours with flexibility. Remote Work: Hybrid option available after onboarding (1–2 days per week). Travel: Minimal, local to Silicon Valley.
