The Role: As an Application Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between customer requirements, sales, and production to ensure our products meet exact specifications. Your role will involve analyzing customer needs, preparing detailed quotations, and managing the order process through to final delivery. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and direct engagement with clients. Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret customer requirements to create accurate, competitive quotations. Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored solutions aligned with company objectives. Prepare proposals using established templates and manage electronic filing systems. Implement pricing strategies as defined by management. Review customer purchase orders to resolve conflicts between quotes and specifications. Generate order entry materials and clarify special requirements with customers. Participate in conference calls with sales teams, channel partners, and customers. Maintain a database of proposal statuses and competitive market information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent design software (Inventor, Solid Edge, etc.). Knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI, IEEE, and IEC. Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications, drawings, symbols, and nomenclature. Familiarity with creating macros and scripts in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred. Strong technical background with experience working in a customer-focused environment. Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST On-site role (no remote work). Business casual attire. Travel: None (company-owned plants).
