Job Description:
Purpose
: Acts as a team lead of a Quality Assurance team and supports the QA vision to deliver consistent and value-added testing solutions that align with business needs/goals. Adheres to QA standards, applies QA methodology, develops test strategies, and ensures robust repeatable, maintainable, regression for the Calypso platform. Collaborates with technical and business teams and communicates risks and issues to ensure high quality solutions. Maintains awareness and recommends best industry practices to improve overall QA processes and enhance efficiency. Major Accountabilities
: Quality Assurance Responsibilities: Lead QA efforts on Calypso initiatives and follow scaled Agile best practices. Lead in requirement analysis, design and development phases and determine testing approach for the Calypso platform. Leverage extensive Calypso Domain expertise to develop test plan and provide direction to the QA team for test case authoring and execution. Should be hands-on for test case development as well. Drive test automation hand-off practice and support the development of test cases in manner designed for automation (e.g. using dynamic data), and thereby significantly reduce if not eliminate manual testing Lead the test case peer review process and support the maintenance of authored test cases. Lead the test execution of developed solutions and deliver test reports. Types of testing include smoke, system, integration, regression (manual and automated), data/test-driven, and end-to-end testing. Develop QA close-out deliverables including requirement traceability matrix and test acceptance report to support go/no-go decision. Collaborate with Test Automation team to develop, optimize and enhance automated regression test suites, and coordinate automated test execution. Work with Business users to create and maintain test data for functional and regression testing. Collaborate with the Calypso development team and test automation team to evaluate new test automation tools and solutions for Calypso API and functional regression testing. Support and facilitate user acceptance testing. Lead meetings and workstream sessions with team members, cross-functional teams, and business partners to align on business needs and deliver value. Lead defect triage and collaborate with business partners, internal, and/or external implementation partners on system failures, root cause analysis, and track defects to closure. Lead Responsibilities: Lead a team of employees/consultants. Work with onsite and offshore Calypso QA team members to plan, prioritize and manage testing tasks and deliverables. Monitor team performance and report on metrics. Discover training needs and provide coaching. Ensure that the team is consistently delivering quality solutions to the highest standards. Understand and communicate process methodologies used in the bank. Communicate timely, content relevant information to stakeholders including escalation of key issues and risks. Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge : Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of software quality assurance experience in agile development environments in a large, regulated financial services (preferably banking) environment is required Minimum of 6 years of leading QA staff Minimum of 5 years of Calypso test planning and execution experience Skills & Knowledge : Calypso Specific: Extensive experience in a Lead Calypso QA capacity, preferable involved in Calypso Upgrade projects as well as migrating from legacy applications to the Calypso platform from initiation to completion. In-depth experience with Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, LCs and Equity products in Calypso, including their workings and lifecycle events. Experience with Calypso Pricing, Accounting, ERS, Workflows, Reporting, Task Station and Scheduled Task functionality. Experience with Calypso versions 16.1 onwards Experience with Calypso Hedge Accounting Module. Experience with the Calypso Collateral Module with multiple integrations in and out of Calypso with other platforms. Financial Services: Proficiency in Fixed Income, Derivatives, Advances, LCs and Equity products, with the ability to clearly articulate their workings and lifecycle events. Knowledge of Derivatives Clearing affirmation processes. General: Working knowledge of Financial domain and Capital Markets with Front Office/Back Office operational is required. Experience working with Agile/SAFe methodology. Experience with test automation and framework tools (e.g. UFT, Selenium, RPA) or equivalent automation skills that proves ability to debug automation code. Working knowledge of complex SQL and experience with ETL processes is desired. Experience with industry standard testing and defect management tools (e.g. ALM, JIRA, Confluence) Proficiency in Atlassian tools (particularly JIRA and Confluence) and Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel and Visio). Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong time management skills and ability to juggle priorities with a history of meeting commitments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated individual who takes the initiative to thoroughly understand existing business processes, system integrations, and dependencies. Ability to quickly grasp business concepts, objectives, and processes to establish trust and credibility with stakeholders.
