Senior Gas and Construction Inspector
Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
Experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction with an emphasis on gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting. Oversee construction projects on Gas Transmission and/or Distribution pipelines, gate stations, district regulator stations, and downgrades. Manage multiple construction projects at varying stages, including designing, cost estimating, and final folder close out. Inspect work performed by construction contractors and ensure adherence to company specifications, proper work methods, and appropriate use of facilities and equipment. Read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures. Keep accurate and detailed field records, including daily job reports, material usage and locations, and field test records. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and maintain job safety.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience. A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction with an emphasis on electric installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting. Ability to oversee construction projects on Overhead and Underground Electric Transmission, Substation, Overhead and Underground Distribution, Environmental, Facilities, and other types of electric utility projects. Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Possess managerial skills, computer literacy, and a working knowledge of the utility industry. Valid Driver's License.
