Johnstone Supply is looking for a tech-savvy IT Support individual to join our IT department. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for all things IT, helping us stay efficient and productive. A problem solver with excellent communication abilities and an understanding of network, hardware, and software fundamentals.
RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of IT Support include, but are not limited to:
Technical Assistance Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in person Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices Assist users with setup, installation and configuration of computer equipment and peripherals
Software and System Support
Provide support for commonly used software, including operating systems(Windows, macOS) and business applications Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions and access rights Troubleshoot issues related to email, network drives and VPN access
Network and Connectivity
Support network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless networks Troubleshoot and resolve VPN, firewall, and remote access issues Assist with the setup and configuration of the network hardware as needed
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain documentation for common troubleshooting steps, frequently asked questions, and knowledge-base articles Record and update all support requests in a ticketing system and ensure timely follow-up and completion Provide reports on support ticket trends and suggest improvements
Hardware Maintenance and Asset Management
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage hardware lifecycles (procurement, allocation, and decommissioning) Support users with setting up and troubleshooting conference room AV equipment as neede BENEFITS

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field/equivalent experience Minimum 1-3 years IT experience Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Microsoft Suite Basic networking knowledge
Preferred:
Experience with help desk ticketing system Certifications CompTIA A, Microsoft certified IT professional Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques Knowledge of Eclipse
