POSITION: Case Manager

SCHEDULE: Full-time;40 per week;

Day shift;

Monday to Friday

LOCATION: Reno, NV

SALARY: $20.48 per hour

SUMMARY:

The Case Manager position involves assessing client needs, developing personalized service plans, and facilitating access to resources and support systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of social services, ensuring clients receive the assistance necessary for their well-being and empowerment.

REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or University with a major in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Education, Family Studies, Psychology, Workforce Development or a related field and 1 year of related customer service or case management experience working with elderly, individuals with disabilities and/or low-income individuals, families, and/or communities. Prefer Community Health Work Certification be obtained with the first 6 months of hire (Differential pay will be offered once the certification is obtained).

ABILITY TO:

Work effectively as a member of a team in support of the agency philosophy of shared authority and decision-making. Discern when assistance is needed with an assigned case and effectively seek out that assistance and support for making appropriate decisions about case management activities. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, government guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from other staff, project partners, customer/clients, community organizations, community members. Interact directly and effectively with other staff, project partners, customers/clients, representatives of community organizations and community members while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor. Write routine reports, correspondence, and business communications that conform to a prescribed style and format. Solve practical problems using a variety of means and work with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Travel locally as the job requires.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Best and evidence-based practices in case management for moving individuals toward improved life circumstances and outcomes through their participation in case management, education and training, and workforce development opportunities and activities Community resources Experience working with people is crisis is preferred Computers, data collection and management, case management documentation, and data entry Fluency in all aspects of the English language; Spanish language skills and cultural knowledge are a plus but not required; knowledge of other regionally prominent languages and cultures are also valued Critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving Accurate record keeping and file system management Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher) Office machines (copier, scanner, multi-line phone, fax) Communication and educational strategies for use with adults in a professional environment Issues concerning older Americans, individuals with disabilities and low-income individuals and families in Northern Nevada Community resources for low-income individuals and families Program performance standards and philosophy (may learn on the job)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

A successful candidate ust have Nevada Driver's License and current automobile insurance.
