Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 9:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00
Status: Non-Exempt Hourly
About the Job
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing essential support to the accounting department by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Key duties include processing and recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and managing invoicing and payments. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools. The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the smooth operation of financial processes within the organization.
General Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Handle general office tasks such as filing, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Monitor and manage petty cash.
- Assist in the audit process by providing requested documentation.
- General accounting tasks.
- Payroll and timesheet analysis and processing.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications Knowledge/Experience/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous accounting experience.
- Knowledge with QuickBooks, ADP, and accounting software.
- Microsoft software, Office 365, Teams, Power point, Word, Excel, etc.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- TB test clearance.
- Must pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
