Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of an upscale dining establishment in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for delivering exceptional service and leading a professional culinary team in a high-volume setting. The successful candidate will also be highly efficient at managing a profitable P&L while ensuring smooth operational flow, a top-notch guest experience, and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness are met in a high-volume upscale dining environment.
  • Lead and manage a professional culinary and service team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional team performance and development.
  • Ensure seamless service flow by coordinating with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Foster a passion for service excellence, consistently delivering an outstanding guest experience and ensuring customer satisfaction is prioritized at all times.
  • Manage the P&L by controlling costs, maximizing revenue, and ensuring efficient use of resources to meet profitability targets.
  • Handle budgeting, labor scheduling, inventory management, and ordering to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, implementing strategies to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and overall profitability.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment for both staff and guests.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and boost sales while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with ownership and senior management to drive company initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and improve restaurant performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume upscale dining restaurant.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a diverse team.
  • A strong passion for service and dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory, staffing, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
