Description

Job Summary: Zuern Building Products is seeking a highly skilled and creative Cabinetry Sales & Design Specialist to originate, design, and produce custom cabinetry solutions for residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, builders, remodelers, and sales representatives to develop design concepts that align with customer needs, industry trends, and production capabilities. This position requires expertise in cabinetry design, building codes, materials, and the ability to bring client visions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Consultation & Design Development:

Attend meetings with clients, builders, remodelers, and sales representatives to establish design concepts for custom cabinetry. Collaborate with clients to assess their design needs, preferences, and project goals. Evaluate design ideas based on functionality, materials, production methods, and budget constraints. Advise clients and builders on space planning, layout, appliance integration, color schemes, wood species, and decorative applications.

Design & Documentation:

Utilize software tools like CabinetWare/CabinetVision to create detailed cabinet layouts and designs. Provide clients with conceptual designs, including drawings and illustrations, for approval. Prepare production specifications, including dimensions, materials, and added amenities. Direct the preparation of prints containing manufacturing specifications.

Collaboration & Project Management:

Coordinate with shop personnel to explain and resolve production requirements. Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards. Track project progress, manage timelines, and maintain accurate records for multiple projects. Select and obtain cost estimates from material suppliers and vendors for additional components.

Quality Control & Finalization:

Review final designs and ensure they meet the client's specifications before production. Ensure all designs comply with building codes and industry standards. Implement modifications to designs as needed to reflect changes in trends, customer feedback, or product feasibility.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience in cabinetry design, with a strong portfolio of custom residential and commercial projects. Expertise in design software such as CabinetWare, CabinetVision, AutoCAD, or similar tools. In-depth knowledge of building codes, design trends, production costs, and materials. Strong communication skills and the ability to consult effectively with clients, builders, and sales teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with an eye for design and functionality. Experience with project management and vendor negotiations is a plus. Why Join Us?
