We are in search of an Interim Director of Accounting to join our team based in Austin, Texas. This role involves overseeing daily activities related to cash operations, accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, and fixed assets. The position is pivotal in maintaining robust internal controls, policies, and procedures over all accounting functions. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment arrangement.


Responsibilities:

Primary duty consists of managing YE audit. Candidate must be familiar with Government Wide vs Fund Level Audits/Financials.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of internal controls, policies, and procedures for all accounting functions

• Prepare detailed and accurate Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, monthly financial statements, and other financial reports

• Coordinate and ensure the successful completion of the entity’s annual external audit

• Collaborate with IT staff to lead the implementation of accounting systems, payroll systems, or other financial modules

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws, regulations and filing requirements

• Communicate financial information effectively to policy makers

• Promote safety by communicating and implementing safety rules, policies, and procedures and maintain accountability for the safety performance of employees.n Interim

• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine software
• Knowledge of Concur application
• Experience with CRM systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proven track record in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in overseeing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid experience in Auditing
• Proficiency in Budget Processes
