HYTORC is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design, create and develop equipment, processes, and methods for our proprietary products. This is an exciting opportunity at a global leader to take on a technical challenging role. You will be part of a highly skilled cross-functional team responsible for innovation, development, and scaling of our manufacturing operations. The team will design and deploy manufacturing systems ranging from initial concept through production and final product.
What You'll Do:
- At inception you will work to understand HYTORC processes and assist with tolerance studies
- As we grow, assist in building a manufacturing development team that helps translates our designs from the lab to robust high-volume equipment sets and processes.
- Define and implement best practices for manufacturability assessment, design for manufacturing, manufacturing cost modeling, and manufacturing partner qualification.
- Work closely with engineering design, R&D & our entire engineering team to integrate process control feedback to continuously improve cost and quality.
- Develop prototyping and execute on the plan for process stability.
- Define, develop, and implement quality control methods.
- Own the process of handing off stable manufacturing systems to operations teams.
- Development of assembly processes,
- Training and support of equipment operators,
- Assisting in the design of tooling, and purchase of capital equipment.
- Investigates production problems and recommends possible solutions such as modifying or revising production process or evaluating materials. Developing prototyping.
What You'll Bring:
- Extremely high level of motivation to succeed in the face of complex and exciting challenges.
- 10+ years manufacturing experience.
- Expertise in driving process & equipment maturity to enable high volume manufacturing.
- Experience in championing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Process definition with product design and R&D teams.
- Experience owning the design and development of custom manufacturing equipment via internal teams.
- Demonstrated experience in driving down manufacturing costs while maintaining or improving product quality for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- S. or higher in engineering
- Position requires the ability to set up new processes based on engineering prototypes and transition to production ready processes.
