Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Job Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging - Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist Job Duration: Not specified Shift: Days, Full Time Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; previous experience as an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist desired License: Current ARRT Certification; Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT); Current Fluoroscopy permit Certifications: Current CPR recognition; IABP Certification within six months of employment Must-Have: Demonstrates technical competence, professional judgment, and professional communication skills; Sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis Job Description: - Assist the physician directly with all Cardiac Catheterization procedures. - Prioritize patient needs and coordinate patient care. - Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care. - Contribute to patient care, patient and staff education, emotional support, and education of families and the community. - Work as part of an on-call team with other technologists and nurses to provide coverage for STEMI and other emergency and urgent cath lab procedures. Desired: CI certification (through ARRT) or CCI registry.
