Certification Details BLS Job Details Med Surg 3CC RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center Contract length: 13 weeks Department: MedSurg 3CC RN Common diagnoses include total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and medical overflow. Job Requirements BLS certification required Prefer surgical experience, post-op, and early ambulation experience No requirement to titrate drips Charge Nurse on each shift, occasionally takes a low acuity assignment Experience with heparin drip, PCA pump, TPN preferred Schedule Information 0700-1930 and 1900-0730 shifts Manager to make schedule; self-scheduling and block scheduling considered if unit needs are met Weekend requirement: every other Holiday requirement: as needed Floating to medical and telemetry units may be required Unit Specific Information of Beds: 30 Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6 Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit: 1:12 ratio, 1 tech available RT Equipment includes nasal cannula, RT does treatments Remote tele packs and monitor tech available for reading and interpreting Additional Details Close knit and good culture on the unit Bedside shift report is an expectation RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract) Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions
