Summary: The Warehouse Coordinator for JH Kelly's Seattle location is responsible for overseeing the operations within the warehouse, managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving processes, organizing storage areas, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Warehouse Coordinator is part of the Field Support Team and is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer support through various administrative support tasks and responsibilities. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Salary Range: $20-$32 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
- Prepare and package orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Answer all incoming phone calls from the field – open/create tickets.
- Represent FST/Call center at internal operational meetings, project kick-off, and site visits.
- Shipping – prepare & coordinate shipping of packages via UPS & FedEx.
- Receiving Freight - Unloading and Receiving freight.
- Receiving and notifying material being received.
- Assist in writing purchase orders for tool shortages.
- Promote and lead by example teamwork and customer service when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse clean and organized, tracking tools and materials to/from job sites.
- Job mobe and demobe duties include but are not limited to:
- Organizing drivers for job site clean-offs.
- Sorting tools back into stock for Seattle or setting up returning them to Longview.
- Help coordination of materials to vendors.
- Help coordinate tools coming from Longview.
- Deliver orders promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service.
- Transport materials/loads between Shops/Jobsites/Suppliers.
- Load and Unload ¾ ton trucks or flatbed trucks as needed.
- Perform vehicle inspections pre and post-trip.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Relationships:
- Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the team and management, including shop and field craft personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations and delivery driving, the level of which is likely attained with 1-3 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record.
- Familiarity with operating delivery vehicles such as vans or trucks.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in safety regulations and best practices in warehouse and delivery operations.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
