Overview
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, ensuring efficient operations, inventory accuracy, and timely distribution of materials. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company's field service technicians by managing inventory and coordinating the preparation/shipment of parts and equipment locally and across the country for field operations teams. Additionally, the role includes vendor selection and management, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and safety.
The Warehouse Operations Manager will also collaborate with leadership to develop and implement improvements, evolve systems, and refine departmental approaches to align with organizational goals and drive long-term success.
This position is full-time, onsite in our Bethesda, MD office and hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Plan and manage warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipments. Optimize space utilization and ensure equipment readiness for uninterrupted operations. Develop and implement SOPs to enhance efficiency.
Field Service Support
- Maintain stock levels, accurately fulfill orders, forecast inventory needs, and track shipments to support field teams. Address urgent inventory requirements to minimize disruptions.
Inventory Management
- Conduct cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy. Implement processes to reduce shrinkage, oversee inventory replenishment, manage RMAs, and track hardware refurbishment.
Vendor Selection and Management
- Select and negotiate with vendors for materials and services. Monitor vendor performance and address quality or delivery issues to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to safety protocols in a collaborative work environment.
Safety and Compliance
- Develop and enforce safety procedures. Conduct regular training and ensure compliance with regulations for hazardous materials and general operations.
Reporting & Strategic Collaboration
- Analyze key metrics (inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, vendor performance) and recommend improvements. Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflows, evolve systems, and align warehouse operations with company objectives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, a related field preferred or equivalent.
Experience
- 5+ years of warehouse management or similar experience. Proven expertise in inventory systems, ERP software, vendor management, and staff supervision. Familiarity with large-scale, multi-location operations is a plus.
Skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of warehouse inventory management and operations.
