The Inventory and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the development of an effective inventory management system in collaboration with Operations and Quality.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure inventory accuracy within the facility.
- Ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
- Conduct daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
- Monitor inventory levels, product movements, control/isolate non-conforming product (damage) and procedure as defined by Standard Operating Procedure.
- Direct, coordinate and optimize cycle counts to meet company goals in terms of and customer driven KPIs.
- Establish or adjust work schedules to meet shipment deadlines.
- Improve Inventory Control fundamentals, strive for standardization in a multi-client environment and champion inventory control and continuous improvement culture across the overall facility.
- Champion inventory control in the facility and interact directly with clients and suppliers on inventory, processes and systems related matters.
- Engage and interact on a cross-functional level across the facility to deploy inventory control improvement strategies and initiatives including cost savings and quality measures.
- Promote a safe and clean work environment.
- Conduct investigations and initiate corrective actions to resolve inventory issues.
- Assess productivity and cost effectiveness of the inventory control department; develop projects to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs.
- Advise operations and account management of best practices and industry standards related to inventory management and Continuous Improvements.
- Oversee and manage the inventory control process, ensuring accurate tracking of all products, from receipt through distribution, to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory management, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance and addressing any variances promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders while meeting safety and quality standards.
- Manage real time inventory process for accuracy and visibility.
- Maintain a high degree of integrity with regards to professional behavior and safety, organization, and cleanliness in inventory areas of operation.
- Monitor damage and return items to ensure proper adjustments are being made.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels.
- Monitor inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and avoid excess costs.
- Keep track of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensure inventory accuracy, and monitor inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, and adjusting records accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory counts, orders, and deliveries.
- Ensure that all products are stored in compliance with drug safety and handling regulations.
- Manage the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and streamline operations.
- Handle equipment maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with Federal, state and local laws, regulations, OSHA standards and ISO standards, Implement and enforce safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
- 2+ years of management/leadership experience.
- Knowledge of inventory management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
- Must be able to work the schedule/assigned times.
- Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
