Description:

  1. The HR Generalist plays a supporting role within the Human Resources department, under the direction of the Sr HR Manager.
  2. The HR Generalist will be responsible for carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
  3. Administrative tasks assigned, onboarding, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) administration, reporting, liaising with the extended HR Centers of Excellence, and assisting with taking, processing and resolving standard and less complex employee relations items on a wide variety of basic company and human resources related questions.
  4. Answers questions about HR policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research.
  5. Conducts the analysis of employment-related data and prepares required reports.
  6. Assists in administering performance reviews for company employees and thoroughly documents the entire process.
  7. Conducts various onboarding and offboarding activities.
  8. Compiles raw data into usable reports to assist with reporting needs of the HR team.
  9. Answers general questions sent to the HR Mailbox.
  10. Provides additional support to HR Business Partners to include preparation of charts, presentations, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
  11. Acts on behalf of HR Business Partners in their absence.
  12. Works with COEs to update knowledge base and shares information with the rest of Shared Services.
  13. Exercises professionalism and displays strong knowledge as he or she answers basic company inquiries.
  14. Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Work Experience/Education Required:

  1. Must have at least 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience and at least 1 year of Employee Relations in a fast-paced team environment with strong attention to detail.
  2. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, best practices, and procedures within Human Resources and exposure to Human Resources best practices and policies.
  3. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Enterprise-wide information Systems such as Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  4. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (must be able to work with formulas, formatting, and mail merges).
  5. Professionalism and Confidentiality.
  6. Strong Attention to Detail.
  7. Communication Skills (Oral and Written).
  8. Planning and Organizational Skills.

Must be able to work 3 days a week, 8 hours per day, and must be able to work Fridays.
