Position Summary:
The HR People Leader serves as the primary HR representative for the distribution center, supporting the workforce with HR expertise and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and objectives. This role is critical in fostering a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and providing guidance on HR-related matters. While this role does not have direct reports, it requires a strong ability to influence and collaborate with employees and leaders at all levels.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and management at the distribution center for HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and adherence to company policies.
- Support recruiting efforts by partnering with Talent Acquisition on job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding activities.
- Support HR programs such as benefits enrollment, training, and development initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Lead and support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace environment.
- Facilitate communication between distribution center staff and corporate HR to ensure consistent messaging and policy implementation.
- Assist with compliance audits and maintain accurate employee records.
- Partner with site leadership to support workplace safety programs and initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions on HR policies, procedures, and employee development topics as needed.
- Support workforce planning and scheduling in collaboration with distribution center leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence others.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
