Job Description:
This is a senior level position that will work collaboratively with the division HR team, Business Leaders, and the Human Resources Director. In addition to ensuring effective delivery of HR core processes and compliance with relevant company guidelines and policies, this position requires the ability to partner and influence people at all levels of the organization. This position supports a large and complex engineering organization and will be leading the division from the HR standpoint. The ideal candidate for the role has a proven track record of delivering results in a highly matrixed organization, a passion for helping others succeed and will be responsible for the execution of HR strategy for the Interstate Electronics business.
Essential Functions:
- Partnering both within HR and on a cross-functional basis in developing and executing talent strategies to support achievement of business operating plans and strategic objectives, while building on the cultural foundation of the division.
- Continued drive towards seamless integration within the HR function, ensuring the delivery of value-added, high-quality and proactive HR support on a consistent division-wide basis.
- Serves as a senior advisor to provide counsel on issues affecting employee performance, strategic leadership, diversity & engagement leadership, talent strategy and retention.
- Work with leaders to drive organizational performance and promote valued behaviors.
- Drives the development of organizational capability and bench strength to deliver against key business objectives, inclusive of talent reviews, succession, and resource planning.
- Works closely with Engineering leadership and the Talent Acquisition group to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and an effective workforce plan is implemented.
- Proactively works Employee Relations issues to ensure a positive, employee-friendly culture.
- Understands and implements corporate processes and procedures with an understanding of impacts to site and organization while effectively working with leadership at all levels to optimize operational results.
- Partners with functional HR peers in the design and implementation of HR best practices related to performance management, recruiting and onboarding, etc., that effectively balance best-in-class design principles with the unique nature and needs of the business.
- Works with matrixed leaders to ensure the business unit is harmonized with people strategies.
- Change management and develop or champion new concepts.
- Develop and implement programs that foster engagement and sound employee relations.
- Formulate, measure and utilize key HR metrics/dashboard to help develop HR strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant HR experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of degree, 13 years of experience.
- 6+ years experience working in a matrixed organization.
- 6+ years experience in Labor & Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Leadership Coaching, Training and Organizational Development, Diversity & Engagement, Change Management & Leadership.
- 6+ years experience building highly effective organizational systems, processes and infrastructure.
- 6+ years experience with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal, influence and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience navigating in a multi-divisional matrix company structure.
- Possesses strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs (employee and business advocacy; business unit and corporate initiatives; functional and operational agendas; etc.).
- 10+ years of progressive human resources experience.
- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.
- Previous experience in change management and the ability to develop or champion new concepts.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $98,500 - $182,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
