PAY RANGE: $67,400.00 - $80,000.00 ANNUALLY

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The HR Programs & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support to strategic Human Resource programs and managing critical administrative and operational duties. The coordinator contributes to the HR project portfolio to ensure effective coordination across HR and the enterprise.

This role involves managing calendars for three Vice Presidents, assisting the Director of HR Programs & Engagement with confidential HR tasks, and collaborating cross-functionally with all human resource departments. The HR Programs & Engagement Coordinator will work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

The HR Programs & Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency, supporting key priorities, and enhancing the overall impact of HR initiatives.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead and support planning and coordination of HR and organization-wide initiatives.
  2. Coordinate employee engagement activities within HQ and the organization, such as Employee Appreciation Day, department meetings, and on-site employee events, in partnership with HR Leadership.
  3. Assist with the portfolio of HR programs and execute strategy from program launch to coordinating timelines and resources to driving deliverables with various stakeholders. Recommend process improvements to leadership as required.
  4. Work to keep programs on schedule, deliverables within stated budgets, and functioning smoothly. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, as required.
  5. Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously and proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  6. Assist HR leadership in the development and maintenance of the HR strategic roadmap; develop and maintain a program tracker to keep leadership on task with strategic programs related to all aspects of HR.
  7. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources information, files, records, and documentation.
  8. Offer ideas to streamline processes and improve upon existing programs. Continuously seek feedback from the team to improve quality of service delivery.
  9. Detail-oriented and proactive, with an eye towards continuous improvement.
  10. Manage an active calendar of appointments and prioritize accordingly, providing the VPs with background information, meeting summaries, and/or supporting documents in preparation for scheduled appointments, meetings, and speaking engagements as needed.
  11. Assist the CPO executive assistant with standard and ad hoc reporting, weekly and monthly reporting, and board reports.
  12. Serve as a backup to the HR Administrative Assistant.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:

  1. Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to HR staff members, all other levels of employees in the Credit Union, and outside contacts on the telephone and in person.
  2. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an online computer terminal, personal computer, and other standard office equipment, including photocopier and telephone.

  1. INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
  2. EXTERNAL: Will partner with external vendors and maintain positive relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EDUCATION: Successful completion of High School curriculum is required. Degree or similar work experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years’ experience in Administration, Program Coordination, or performance in similar functions or related work environment.
  3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
    1. Excellent written and verbal communication.
    2. Attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
    3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, planning, project, or administration skills.
    4. Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word skills.
    5. Experience working cross-functionally and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders.
    6. Comfort interacting with senior leadership roles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
  2. Corrected vision within the normal range.
  3. Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
  4. Occasional movements daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
  5. Occasional lifting up to fifteen pounds, bending, and stooping.
  6. Limited local and statewide travel by car or public conveyance.
