About The Role
- The Import Production Manager will manage import styles from development through production.
- This role involves negotiating minimum order quantities (MOQs), delivery schedules, and costs.
- The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Sales, and PR, to share samples and resolve production issues.
- Regular communication regarding production status and factory ship dates is a key responsibility.
- The role requires collecting and negotiating development and production costs for trims, fabrics, and garments.
- The manager will also be responsible for calculating duty rates for import garments and creating seasonal margin reports.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in import production or development.
- A strong understanding of garment construction across various categories such as Cut & Sew, Wovens, Sweaters, and Technical Outerwear is essential.
- The candidate must possess excellent negotiation skills and experience with cost breakdowns.
- High proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft and Google Suite, is required.
- The successful individual will demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
