Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $157,539 - $159,600 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties:

1. Oversee Coach Carshell welding department.
2. Improve shop floor safety, product quality, and increase production output.
3. Identify challenges and deficiencies related to manufacturability.
4. Develop manufacturing plans to achieve requirements of master production schedule, and execute those plans while meeting safety, quality and cost targets.
5. Develop annual department budgets, execute operations, and monitor performance against targets.
6. Collaborate with other production managers and drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and 6S principles.
7. Interface with project managers to provide progress updates on schedule, cost, and quality.
8. Communicate areas where additional support is required.
9. Track and manage production performance.
10. Identify constraints and develop and implement countermeasures.
11. Conduct bi-annual employee performance reviews.
12. Plan, monitor, and document the training and development of manufacturing employees, including continuous feedback outside of reviews.
13. Coordinate with support functions (quality, engineering, scheduling, procurement) and internal customers to ensure the entire team is aligned and working together to solve problems and meet commitments.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Weld Engineering or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Production Manager-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following:

1. Analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes.
2. Supporting optimization of industrial resources through line balancing analysis.
3. Performing capacity analysis of workstations and equipment.
4. Performing 5S methodology for shopfloor organization and optimization.
5. Optimizing Time Management through Value Stream Mapping.
6. Evaluating non-conformances and conducting failure analysis on manufacturing processes.
