Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking an SAP Specialist to join our team. The ECC SAP application is integral to rail projects for material and stock management, with integrations to our maintenance management systems for operational management. Through a healthy project pipeline, the Digital Services Team requires an SAP Specialist to define solutions through the full project life cycle for Siemens US projects in a growing environment.

Together with the Project Manager, you would take ownership for all technical and quality issues on ECC SAP implementations alongside the implementation Manager who will take responsibility for the time plan, commercial and budget elements of projects. Collaborating with the Project Manager is crucial to build and maintain a roadmap for the ongoing development of each in-service SAP implementation to ensure that it responds to developing needs once transitioned to ‘business as usual’ with Supply Chain and support teams.

You will gather requirements, design and build operational processes, specify and create reports and build and design interfaces from and to ECC SAP for internal and external customers. SAP modules used are Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM) and Project Systems (PS).

You will work with the wider Mobility rail team, the SAP support team and supply chain teams and suppliers of third-party systems to ensure that stakeholder expectations are managed and met. Ensures that appropriate support and maintenance arrangements are in place. This role can be remote based in the US.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  1. Be the product owner on the SAP Agile Value Scrum Team, representing the interests of Siemens Mobility Customer Services and business and projects.
  2. Responsible for increasing value of the product and ensuring its alignment with customer and partner needs.
  3. Support the implementation, testing and training of the business processes that are supported by the SAP team.
  4. Actively participate in the Siemens 3is improvement program and drive implementation of improvements from the team.
  5. Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility.
  6. Monitor compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Experience delivering ECC SAP modifications, enhancements and interfaces using modules defined.
  3. A technical understanding of the ECC SAP system and how to configure it.
  4. Ability to prioritize multiple user requirements on complex systems.
  5. Excellent partner and user management skills.
  6. Excellent knowledge of IT systems.
  7. Strongly demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Excellent organization skills, able to prioritize and plan own time in line with department requirements.
  9. Experience of material and stock management systems and supporting finance and other information systems in a rolling stock environment. Also demonstrated strategic awareness to make a connection between your daily tasks and the overall strategic goals of IT operations. Experience in a rolling stock maintenance organization highly desirable.

The base salary range for this position in Pittsburgh, PA is $89,300-$105,000, in Sacramento, CA is $98,300-$115,600 and in New York, NY is $107,300-$125,900. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
