Overview
The Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the recruitment process for the City of New Orleans. This includes leading a team of recruiters, ensuring the development and implementation of effective recruiting strategies, training staff, and driving the hiring process to attract and retain top talent. The Recruiting Supervisor works closely with department managers and HR leadership to ensure staffing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing a team of specialists, candidate sourcing, and attracting top talent for various positions within the City of New Orleans.
This role requires a strong leadership understanding of recruitment processes and the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers alike. The Recruiting Supervisor will utilize various tools and platforms to ensure a seamless hiring experience while contributing to our overall talent acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills and fit for the organization.
- Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Lever or PeopleSoft to manage candidate pipelines efficiently.
- Maintain relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback.
- Assist in succession planning efforts by identifying high-potential candidates for future roles.
- Support employee relations initiatives by addressing concerns related to recruitment processes.
- Participate in technical recruiting efforts, ensuring that candidates meet the necessary qualifications for specialized roles.
- Conduct employee evaluations as part of the onboarding process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of recruiters to achieve departmental goals and deliver a high level of service to hiring managers.
- Ensure recruiters are effectively sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates for open positions.
- Monitor team performance, set objectives, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
- Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with HR leadership and department heads to create recruiting strategies that align with organizational goals and needs.
- Implement innovative sourcing techniques to build a strong candidate pipeline and ensure a diverse pool of applicants.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep the organization competitive in the talent market.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,000.00 per year
