NATURE AND SCOPE:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiting Specialist plays a vital support role in the recruitment process within the organization. This position is responsible for assisting the recruitment team in various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the recruiting process. The role involves coordinating and managing administrative activities associated with sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Post job requisitions on various job boards.
- Ensure all job descriptions are formatted correctly and are up to date.
- Track and update candidate information, including resumes, application information, and interview feedback.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct first level phone screens for non-technical individual contributor positions using predetermined criteria and provide recommendations to the recruiting team.
- Schedule first level phone interviews and final in-person interview panels.
- Prepare interview materials, including interview guides.
- Collect feedback from interviewers and consolidate the information for further evaluation.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process, including acknowledging applications, scheduling interviews, and providing updates on their status.
- Conduct employment and education verification and ensure all documentation is attached to the candidate profile on Workday.
- Register and organize any career fairs including attendance and feedback.
- Fastidious candidate management and updates in the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate and ensure timely response or feedback to all candidates that supports a positive candidate experience.
- Coordinate events (conference, networking opportunities, group chats, career fairs, and social media) to attract qualified candidates.
- Build talent pipelines to fill current and future roles to drive improvement in the hiring process by conducting candidate searches in the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate and support pre-employment onboarding and new hire training.
- Promote the brand of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta to attract more qualified candidates for our open positions.
- Ensure compliance in the Recruiting/Hiring process with laws and regulations, including EEO and AAP compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in human resource management, business, or related field OR high school diploma and 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong organization and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a recruiting administrator, HR assistant, or similar administrative role.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software - Workday would be a plus.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices.
