Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Manufacturing Analyst/Principal Manufacturing Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This analyst will be supporting our E2 Flight Line Operations team organization in St. Augustine, Florida. We are a world-class manufacturer of aircraft structures systems for military applications.

Please Note: This position requires onsite presence due to the nature of the role.

The Manufacturing Analyst will be a part of Flight Operations team and will support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment while interfacing with a variety of cross-functional areas including: Program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and procurement.

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable communicating with multiple levels of leadership. They will work in a team environment, be comfortable with presenting data, be able to perform complex professional tasks, have excellent problem-solving abilities to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, and be comfortable working with minimal supervision and guidance. The selected candidate must understand the importance of using discretion, latitude, and must have high integrity.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.

  • Facilitate self-directed work teams.

  • Support DCMA Audits and site Audits.

  • Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, material management, and process reengineering.

  • Provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers.

  • Interact with internal and external customers with respect to planning and problem resolution.

  • Act as liaison between the Integrated Project Team (IPT), Flight Operations, and other stakeholders.

  • Data management, facilitate meetings.

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets.

  • Conduct presentations using charts and spreadsheets.

This requisition may be filled as Manufacturing Analyst (level 2) OR Principal Manufacturing Analyst (level 3).

Basic Qualifications Manufacturing Analyst Level 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 years’ related experience OR Master’s degree. Please note: Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; Associates degree and 3 years of related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or flightline environment.

  • Ability to work within MS applications i.e., MS Word, Excel.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD and Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Basic Qualifications Principal Manufacturing Analyst Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ related experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience. Please note: Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; Associates degree and 6 years of related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or flightline environment.

  • Ability to work within MS applications i.e., MS Word, Excel.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD and Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret DOD clearance

  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience with DCMA Audits

  • A Government Flight Representative (GFR).

  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers and vendors.

  • Experience in a aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to read and interpret 2-D drawings/blueprints

Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400

Salary Range 2: $76,600 - $115,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
