The company builds strong relationships with employees, customers, and vendors alike. Triad Metals is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) at our Petersburg, VA location.

A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is a qualified professional who is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of welding standards.

Successful Candidates will be expected to:

1. Ensure that welds and materials meet industry standards and specifications.
2. Review and approve welding procedures, and verify that welders comply with safety requirements.
3. Communicate findings to welders and other stakeholders.
4. Coordinate inspections with regulatory bodies.
5. Develop, implement, and oversee quality programs and measures.
6. Document inspection results accurately and precisely.
7. Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
8. Review contract requirements and vendor/contract compliance.
9. Ensure that safety and environmental policies and procedures are being learned and followed.
10. Follow all safety and operating instructions.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Required Experience:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. 1+ years of welding-related experience.
3. D.1.5 certification is required.
