Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
2. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
3. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
4. Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
5. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
6. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
7. Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
8. Schedule patient appointments
9. Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
11. Assist with front office tasks as needed

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program
3. Radiography certification (if state required)
4. Current CPR certification
5. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work well in a team and independently
8. Proficiency in dental practice management software

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
2. Bilingual abilities
3. Knowledge of dental charting and terminology
