Job Description

Shirley Parsons is currently recruiting a night shift Safety Manager for a construction project in De Soto, KS.

The candidate must have extensive experience in construction safety, ideally supporting heavy industrial construction project support.

Must be local to area, no out of town candidates being considered at this time. Extensive OT available for this position.

The Role:

1. Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
2. Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.
3. Manage and perform activities to ensure compliance with the site EHS program.
4. Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

The Candidate:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree
2. NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI electrical standards
3. Industrial Construction Experience Required
4. CHST / OSHA 500 and 510
5. 3+ years of EHS experience in a construction environment
6. Strong communication skills, and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
