ER/MedSurg/Swing Bed position at St Alexius Health Turtle Lake Hospital Critical Access (Rural Location) facility with 25 beds Common diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, and trauma care Nurse:Patient Ratios of 1:8 utilizing team nursing Experience required: 2 years EMR system used: EPIC Charge Nurse on each shift with team assignments Nurse Aides/CNA available on each shift RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips Job Requirements
BLS certification required ACLS certification required PALS certification required TNCC certification required 2 years of experience in a similar role Understanding of dementia and stroke care Schedule Information
12-hour shifts from 0645-1915 and 1845-0715 Every other weekend requirement Alternating holidays as scheduled Team scheduling with block scheduling possible upon request 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation Unit Specific Information
Common titratable drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions Patient managed CPAP only, no additional RT equipment handling required Additional Details
No clinical involvement required Floating requirements for ER/Medsurg support RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract) Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions Scrubs provided, no specific color required Radius Rule: 50 miles from any facility associated with CommonSpirit
