Location:

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage a caseload and maintain client interaction
  • Conduct intakes and interviews with detained individuals in detention centers
  • Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed
  • Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates
  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to determine strategic direction
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to assess case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for diverse immigration cases

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated interest in immigration law (e.g., law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships)
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation
  • Experience with Case Management Software (preferred)

Education:

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission (or recent law graduates awaiting admission)

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures
  • Effective communication and client management skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)
  • High-level interpersonal skills and collaborative approach
