Mission:
As the Regional Director of Trade Services, your primary objective is to oversee and lead a team of skilled trade professionals specializing in residential home services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and code-compliant execution of HVAC projects and services. You will focus on optimizing billable efficiency, operational productivity, budgeting, forecasting, and driving continuous process improvement in the HVAC trade services division. This position requires you to contribute to growth initiatives actively, expand the organization's reach and service offerings, and develop regional service standards. You will also provide training and mentorship to team members while collaborating with service center leadership to facilitate best practices and coaching.

Mission:
As the Regional Director of Trade Services, your primary objective is to oversee and lead a team of skilled trade professionals specializing in residential home services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and code-compliant execution of HVAC projects and services. You will focus on optimizing billable efficiency, operational productivity, budgeting, forecasting, and driving continuous process improvement in the HVAC trade services division. This position requires you to contribute to growth initiatives actively, expand the organization's reach and service offerings, and develop regional service standards. You will also provide training and mentorship to team members while collaborating with service center leadership to facilitate best practices and coaching.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership and Process Improvement:
- Assume a central leadership role within the region, setting high standards for operational efficiency and results.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to align operational strategies with revenue targets, billable efficiency goals, and process improvement initiatives.
- Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization's trade services division.
Team Leadership, Mentorship, and Training:
- Lead and supervise a team of trade service technicians specializing in residential projects, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and capabilities.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced team members, offering hands-on training, sharing expertise, and assisting in problem-solving.
- Provide career guidance and encourage professional development among team members.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure compliance with regional service standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with service center leaders to manage and develop apprenticeship programs, promoting talent and skill enhancement.
Residential Trade Services and Billable Efficiency:
- Oversee HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential homes, with a strong emphasis on maximizing billable utilization.
- Implement strategies to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to achieve billable efficiency targets.
- Ensure compliance with trade-specific codes, safety regulations, and quality standards while driving productivity.
Project Management and Process Optimization:
- Plan and schedule trade service projects, including resource allocation and materials procurement, with a focus on process efficiency.
- Monitor project progress, track expenses, and report on project status to management.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure the successful completion of residential projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in trade service operations, driving continuous enhancement.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Growth Initiatives:
- Develop and manage the department's budget, collaborating with the General Manager to align financial goals with growth objectives.
- Conduct forecasting to anticipate resource needs, project requirements, and revenue targets.
- Actively contribute to growth initiatives by exploring opportunities to expand service offerings and geographic reach.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to drive departmental revenue, billable utilization, and cost-effective operations in line with growth objectives.
Development of Regional Service Standards:
- Establish, communicate, and implement regional service standards, practices, and quality assurance measures to ensure effective and consistent service delivery.
- Continuously assess and update service standards based on industry developments and customer feedback.
- Monitor adherence to regional service standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Technical Expertise and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain a strong technical knowledge of residential trade systems, fixtures, and components.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and apply best practices to residential projects.
- Conduct quality inspections in residential homes to ensure that trade work meets established standards.
- Implement quality control measures and promptly address any deficiencies.
Client Communication and Satisfaction:
- Establish processes and procedures that prioritize customer satisfaction in residential projects and align service delivery with client expectations.
Departmental Revenue and Cost Management:
- Monitor and manage labor, material, and associated job costs, ensuring jobs are within budgeted targets.
- Develop strategies to optimize call counts and resource allocation for billable efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze billable utilization metrics to drive productivity improvements.
People Growth Strategy:
- Develop and implement a people growth strategy to identify and nurture talent within the division.
- Provide opportunities for career advancement, training, and skill development to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in a trade service profession, with a minimum of 6 years in residential trade work
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and achievement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships internally and externally.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans, encompassing market analysis, territory management, lead generation, and sales forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and adeptness at navigating complexities within a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of effectively coaching and mentoring team members to drive continuous improvement.
- Passion for the home services industry and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration is a plus.
Physical/Driving Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively, including daily travel and spending substantial time in a vehicle.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when required.
