Job Description

J.D. Irving, Limited Woodlands Division is currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Manager, Finance and Operation Planning for our Finance team located in our Head Office in Saint John, N.B.

As a key resource to the Woodlands Division, the Manager thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, and strong communication across various organizational levels. This position will work closely with the Finance and Woodlands Management team, providing financial leadership and operational direction to drive success in the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting and management of ongoing forecasting activities across many functional areas
  • Create and maintain complex strategic models to make key organizational decisions
  • Guide senior leadership team in developing organizational opportunities
  • Work with leadership teams across other JDI companies to establish operational efficiencies
  • Operational and Financial KPI development, tracking and trending
  • Build partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders to assist with problem solving, analysis and business improvement


Qualifications

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • CPA designation completed considered an asset, other professional training considered
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial and operational analysis-based position
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of E1, TM1, Cognos or other database and reporting tools considered an asset
