The Inventory Optimization Manager plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven insights and strategies to enhance our inventory management. Your work will be key to optimizing inventory availability, improving accuracy, and supporting seamless operations across our fulfillment centers.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for using data sourcing, and analysis techniques to optimize inventory processes, cut costs, and ensure product availability. By analyzing inventory health, you'll establish a baseline and create strategies for improvement. You'll work closely with Replenishment, Operations, Sales, Product Management, and Finance to align goals and implement effective solutions, directly enhancing operational efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
You will support all Demand Planning needs of the business while also contributing to inventory health and optimization. This role will report directly to the Director of Replenishment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Inventory Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to meet service level & OTIF objectives while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Manage the beginning and end of the lifecycle of the Aramsco assortment, from an inventory perspective via historical data analysis, demand forecasts, and market trends, optimizing inventory health.

Demand Planning & Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with Replenishment, Sales, Operations, Finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust strategies to address variances.

Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Identify and implement process improvements in inventory management, replenishment, and allocation.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate product availability.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as OTIF, Service Level, Inventory turnover, fill rate.
  • Generate regular reports to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

System and Technology Utilization:
  • Leverage ERP and inventory management systems to maintain accurate inventory records and optimize stock levels.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance inventory practices.

Team Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Replenishment, Sales, Product Management and Operations, to align inventory goals with business objectives.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in inventory management.

Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply disruptions, inventory shortages, or overstock situations.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unexpected changes in demand or supply.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred, e.g., APICS, Six Sigma).
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or related roles within a distribution environment.
  • Advanced computer software skills (Excel, Pivot Tables, Time Series Functions).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI (or Tableau) and Microsoft SQL preferred
