This is a direct-hire, remote position requiring travel (up to 50%) to key client locations and industry events.
The Role You’ll Play
As a Sage X3 Functional Consultant focused on Financial modules, you will act as a critical link between business and technology, helping clients streamline operations and achieve their goals utilizing SageX3 ERP system.
You will utilize your business and technical expertise in SageX3 and the Financial Modules to assess client requirements, design tailored solutions, and deliver ERP implementations that drive measurable business value. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the functionality of SageX3 financial modules and be able to walk clients through how SageX3 can address their business processes, such as cost accounting, WIP, and inventory balancing. By effectively communicating with stakeholders, documenting processes, and identifying integration points across systems, you will ensure seamless project execution. Additionally, you will build and maintain strong client relationships, providing ongoing support and ensuring long-term satisfaction and success.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting detailed analyses of client business processes and functional requirements to identify optimization opportunities.
Preparing and validating documentation, including workflow diagrams and functional specifications.
Evaluating data and existing systems to recommend efficient, cost-effective solutions aligned with business goals.
Managing the delivery of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
Leading clients through system testing and acceptance phases to ensure solutions meet expectations.
Supporting ongoing client needs by configuring solutions, addressing questions, and solving issues post-implementation.
Promoting continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, raising critical issues, and driving process enhancements.
Developing expertise in Sage X3 functionality and keeping up-to-date with product changes, best practices, and industry trends.
Background Profile:
The ideal candidate has gained substantial experience and knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SageX3, from a functional and technical aspect. The ideal candidate should also have developed expertise in manufacturing financial processes and have a business background with proven success in ERP implementations, particularly within financial systems. Required qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of ERP implementation experience (Sage X3 or similar platforms like Epicor, Infor, or Dynamics).
Expertise in financial modules, cost accounting, and inventory balancing.
Strong consulting background with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications: Advanced degrees or certifications.
Experience with manufacturers and industry-specific workflows.
Proven success in client relationship management and solution delivery.
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 per year
