Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities:

Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Keep client files properly organized and up to date Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Develop case strategies, provide leadership, and guide paralegals and legal assistants Handle full caseloads independently, from case inception to resolution Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memos on complex case issues Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts as needed Appear in court for various family law proceedings, representing clients in high-stakes situations Prepare clients for trials, advocate on their behalf, and work with experts when necessary Oversee division of marital assets and negotiate settlements in divorce cases Maintain organized client files, ensuring documentation accuracy and timeliness Cultivate relationships with clients, providing clear communication and emotional support through challenging situations Qualifications:

Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) Who We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 10 years in Family Law litigation and courtroom advocacy (required) Licenses:

Licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia Skill Set:
