Manufacturing Project Engineer Job at Quality Electrical Systems in West Jordan

Quality Electrical Systems is seeking a forward-thinking and adaptable Project Engineer with a strong electrical and or mechanical engineering background to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, managing, and executing electrical engineering projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and solutions for various projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage and oversee all phases of project development, including planning, design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, budgets, and schedules while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Identify and propose new processes, technologies, or methodologies to enhance efficiency and support organizational growth.
• Lead efforts to standardize project workflows and best practices within the department.
• Perform technical calculations, create schematics, and generate documentation for electrical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all project activities.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture by actively contributing to team discussions and decision-making processes.
• Train and mentor junior engineers to build a high-performing and adaptable team.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree, preferably Electrical or Mechanical 
• Project Management Experience, preferably Project Management Professional PMP certification

·       Proven experience in project engineering, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sectors and experience with quality documentation and systems like ISO

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including design, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and lead innovative initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Reviews technical and process requirements for projects and ensures they are being followed 
• Helps create and update key process steps and procedures and ISO documentation 
• Tracks progress to customer deliveries
• Problem solves issues and barriers to deliveries
• Coordinate the work of transformer team to ensure key dates are being met
• Works with customers to get feedback on quality and delivery metrics
• Reviews and creates submittals for customers
