Join a dynamic team in Waco as a Supervisor in Paper Manufacturing, where you will play a critical role in overseeing fiber receiving, production operations, and wastewater treatment processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise a team of operations technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safe performance.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to meet all wastewater regulation requirements and align with business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and ensure adherence to policies related to water quality, treatment, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and respond to water quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee procurement and management of treatment chemicals to maintain adequate supplies and effective operational standards.
  • Train and support plant staff on best practices in treatment and environmental initiatives.
  • Set clear goals for the team, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Engage with employees by addressing issues, recognizing performance, and ensuring accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Administration, or related field; or significant related work experience.
  • 3-10 years of supervisory experience in paper manufacturing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in paper fiber preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and relevant environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
