About the Role: Afterschool Counselor Help amazing children and youth live their best lives. Work as a team to provide a safe environment. Share your own skills and interests. High School Diploma or GED Must have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children (preferably children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges) Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen Must complete Professional Crisis Management Training (provided). Must be at least 18 years of age. You have the physical abilities to bend, lift, stand, squat, walk, run, balance, reach, kneel, pull, and push while working with children and adolescents. Must obtain the 40-hour childcare training that is mandated by the state of Florida. All counselors must begin this training within 90 days from the date of employment and complete all 40 hours within one year from the date they are hired.
