Job Opportunity: Toolmaker Location: Georgia Salary: Competitive Benefits Qualifications: 10 years of experience in the machinery industry with expertise in staffing, planning, and people management. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Proven experience with hotrunner systems. Proficiency in using conventional lathe, surface grinder, and mill. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems. Familiarity with the metric system. Experience with 3D CAD viewers (preferred) and the ability to read technical drawings. Journeyman Toolmaker certification (preferred). Ability to polish up to A2 finish. Analytical skills to analyze complex mechanical injection molds. Proficiency in spotting and matching (blue) molding contours. Proficient in TIG welding. Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills for tooling defects. Ability to read timings and Gantt charts. Independence and ability to work independently. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean criminal record. Responsibilities: Conduct corrective maintenance and repairs on injection molding tooling. Identify and troubleshoot tooling defects. Implement necessary repairs to ensure optimal tooling functionality. Execute in-machine tool modifications to meet production requirements. Provide essential support to Injection production teams. Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to enhance tooling performance. Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Perform predictive maintenance to preempt tooling breakdowns. Manage the predictive spare part system for timely repairs. Document all maintenance activities and maintain detailed repair logs. Promote a safe working environment by consistently following established practices. Work precisely in accordance with the metric system. Work autonomously to meet maintenance objectives. Regularly report progress, issues, and recommendations to the Toolshop Supervisor.
