We are seeking a VP Finance for one of our fast growing clients within the industrial sector. The Vice President of Finance will serve as a strategic leader, guiding the company's financial direction and driving the alignment of financial strategies with overarching business goals. The Vice President of Finance will combine strategic leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach, leveraging outstanding business acumen and the adaptability to engage and contribute to both high-level strategic planning and day-to-day operational execution. This role demands a results-driven individual with a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills to articulate and advance global financial initiatives. Success in this role hinges on a deep understanding of the company’s operations, financial drivers, and organizational culture, along with a steadfast commitment to financial rigor and discipline. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership and Leadership: Act as the principal financial advisor to the CEO, President and executive leadership team and serve as a trusted partner to the business. Provide strategic financial recommendations including improvement to the company’s financial and operational performance, current and future state challenges and opportunities, insights on corporate initiatives. A forward-thinking finance professional who can craft and execute both short- and long-term strategies to strengthen the organization’s competitive edge and market presence globally. Analyze data to identify trends, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making processes. Monitor the regulatory and business environment and develop risk mitigation strategies and opportunities. Participate in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including due diligence, negotiations, and integration efforts. Cultivate a high-performance culture by developing top talent and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture. Serve as a change agent, driving strategic initiatives and contributing to the evolution of the business model for sustainable and profitable growth globally. Financial Leadership: Oversee finance and accounting operations including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP financial standards. Lead the strategic and operational planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance, financial health and operational efficiency. Manage treasury functions, capital structure, and risk management programs, maintaining relationships with financial institutions and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Supervise cash management activities, including collections, payables, and deposits. Coordinate with auditors and manage compliance, internal controls, and accounting issues. Oversee all regulatory and reporting requirements, including financial audits and tax filings. Information Technology Oversight: Develop and implement strategic plans for information technology to enhance business workflows and support infrastructure. Ensure the efficient execution of critical IT systems essential for daily operations. Understand the Finance, ERP, CRM, and CAD systems, as well as other software and computer systems in the business, and be able to develop strategies to utilize these tools to fit the company’s short- and long-range requirements. Stay informed about industry best practices and recommend innovative technological solutions. Allocate resources effectively to meet operational objectives and drive system enhancements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred. Experience: Over 15 years of senior-level finance experience, preferably within a mid-sized manufacturing environment. Experience in private, private equity-backed business or family business settings is advantageous. International finance experience and familiarity with IT systems are beneficial. Experience in remanufactured products is desirable. Skills and Competencies: Strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
