Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology - Nuclear Medicine Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMT cert) required Must-Have: Epic experience preferred; all certifications must be American Heart Association-approved Job Description: - Prepare and administer the correct radiopharmaceutical dosage to patients. - Use imaging equipment to scan areas of the body as requested by the patient's healthcare provider. - Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have. - Provide a calming and reassuring presence for patients who are fearful, nervous, or in pain. - Maintain imaging equipment and ensure its safe operation. - Complete e-learning modules as required during orientation. - Be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing. Orientation: 16 non-billable hours. Modules: Non-billable, average 1-5 hours spent on modules during orientation, recorded through e-learning. Additional Requirements: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler. Background information, including any hits or DUIs, must be stated prior to submission.
