Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician (Cardiac Sonographer) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms, a crucial tool in evaluating heart conditions, under the guidance of a physician or cardiologist. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient care and support the clinical team in diagnosing heart-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality echocardiogram studies, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and possibly transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), as directed by the physician. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety. Position patients properly to capture accurate and detailed images of the heart and surrounding structures. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce clear images and measure various cardiac parameters, such as heart size, function, and blood flow. Recognize and report abnormal findings, documenting any significant observations for further clinical review. Maintain proper patient records, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with confidentiality standards. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to discuss findings and provide assistance as needed. Clean and maintain all echocardiography equipment, ensuring it is in good working order. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards while performing procedures. Stay current with industry advancements in echocardiography techniques and equipment. Provide a supportive and caring environment for patients, addressing their concerns throughout the procedure.
