Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Echo Technician (Cardiac Sonographer) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart) to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. The Echo Tech will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide critical diagnostic information for patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform non-invasive echocardiogram procedures, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). Ensure proper patient preparation and provide clear instructions for the echocardiogram process. Position patients correctly and operate ultrasound equipment to capture accurate, high-resolution images of the heart. Measure and record various cardiac parameters, such as chamber size, wall thickness, and blood flow patterns. Identify and document any abnormalities or areas of concern for further evaluation by a cardiologist or physician. Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Review images to ensure quality and provide additional scans as needed. Provide preliminary findings to physicians for clinical review and diagnosis. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including echocardiogram results, procedures performed, and any relevant patient information. Sterilize and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols in accordance with hospital or clinic policies. Collaborate with medical teams to support ongoing patient care and treatment plans. Stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies.
